Dirt / Earthwork Crew Member

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position supports site preparation and earthwork operations including excavation, grading, and backfill. Dirt Crew Members work alongside equipment operators to prepare sites for utilities, paving, and structural construction.

Responsibilities:

Assist with site preparation, excavation, and grading activities.
Work with equipment operators to establish grades and elevations.
Perform hand grading, trenching, and compaction as needed.
Install erosion control and temporary site measures.
Maintain a safe and clean job site.

Skills & Experience Developed:

Earthwork and site development processes.
Grade checking and layout basics.
Use of hand tools and compaction equipment.
Understanding of construction sequencing.

Qualifications:

Construction or earthwork experience preferred.
Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
Willingness to learn grading and site layout fundamentals.
Strong teamwork and safety awareness.
