Asphalt Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position oversees asphalt paving operations from preparation through final compaction. The Asphalt Supervisor manages paving crews, equipment, and production to ensure high-quality asphalt installation that meets specifications and schedules.

Responsibilities:

Supervise asphalt paving crews and daily paving operations.
Coordinate paving schedules, trucking, and material deliveries.
Ensure proper asphalt placement, compaction, and surface quality.
Enforce safety procedures related to hot materials and heavy equipment.
Coordinate with project management and inspectors during paving operations.
Monitor production rates, temperatures, and compaction results.
Maintain daily production reports and quality documentation.

Skills & Experience Developed:

Leadership of asphalt paving crews.
Asphalt quality control and production planning.
Equipment coordination and paving logistics.
Job site safety leadership.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in asphalt paving operations.
Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
Knowledge of asphalt mix designs, placement, and compaction methods.
Ability to read and interpret paving plans and specifications.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Agtek and Topcon software proficiency.
