Utilities Crew Member

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position supports the installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drain, and related infrastructure. Utilities Crew Members work as part of a team to safely and efficiently complete trenching, pipe installation, and backfill operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with installation of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm).
Perform trenching, bedding, pipe laying, backfill, and compaction activities.
Assist with setting structures such as manholes, catch basins, and valves.
Support testing, inspection, and cleanup activities.
Follow safety procedures related to trenching and underground work.
Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness.

Skills & Experience Developed:

Underground utility construction methods.
Trench safety and shoring practices.
Use of hand tools and construction equipment.
Teamwork and job site communication.

Qualifications:

Prior utility or construction experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to work in trenches and outdoor environments.
Willingness to follow safety procedures and instructions.
Strong work ethic and teamwork skills.
