Engineering Technician (Civil Construction)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position reports to the Project Engineer and supports both field and office operations. The Engineering Technician applies civil engineering principles to active construction projects and assists with project oversight, quality control, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Assist with field inspections, surveys, and data collection.
Support quality control checks on materials and workmanship.
Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
Participate in construction meetings and provide engineering input.

Skills & Experience Developed:

Application of engineering principles in civil construction.
Field inspection and quality control procedures.
Exposure to construction materials testing.
Collaboration with engineers, surveyors, and project managers.

Qualifications:

Degree or coursework in Civil Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of engineering concepts, construction methods, and design software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
