Project Estimator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position reports to the Estimator and assists with preparing cost estimates, bids, and proposals. The Project Estimator evaluates construction plans, analyzes costs, and supports budgeting and bid preparation.

Responsibilities:

Review drawings and specifications for quantity take-offs.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages.
Collect and analyze pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Track project costs and assist with budget reporting.
Research materials, construction methods, and best practices.

Skills & Experience Developed:

Estimating principles and quantity take-offs.
Budgeting and cost analysis.
Interpretation of project specifications and contract documents.
Vendor communication and bid preparation.
Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, and CAD systems.

Qualifications:

Degree or experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; estimating software experience a plus.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
