As Project Estimator, you put together the cost estimates, bids, and proposals behind heavy civil projects across the Denver Metro and Colorado Front Range. Working with the Estimator, you read the plans, analyze costs, and prepare the budgets and bids.
What you’ll own
- Review drawings and specifications for quantity take-offs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages.
- Collect and analyze pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Track project costs and assist with budget reporting.
- Research materials, construction methods, and best practices.
What you bring
- Degree or experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; estimating software experience a plus.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Skills & experience you’ll develop
- Estimating principles and quantity take-offs.
- Budgeting and cost analysis.
- Interpretation of project specifications and contract documents.
- Vendor communication and bid preparation.
- Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, and CAD systems.
